Terms of use

Nestora is nursery-management software for nurseries in Egypt, provided by Nestora, operated by Omar Ahmed Mahmoud Sami ("Nestora", "we"). These terms are the rules for using the two apps: the staff app at app.getnestora.app and the parent app at parent.getnestora.app. They apply to everyone with a login: nursery administrators, branch managers, teachers and guardians.

You accept these terms when you create your account, or the first time you sign in after a new version is published. If you do not accept them you cannot use the apps; you can agree another way of staying in touch with your nursery.

Your nursery and Nestora

You use Nestora because a nursery invited you. The nursery decides who gets an account, what each person can see and do, and when access ends. It can switch off your messaging or remove your access at any time.

The nursery has its own agreement with Nestora for the service itself: what it includes, what it costs and how it is supported. These terms do not replace that agreement, and they do not replace whatever you have agreed with your nursery, such as an enrolment contract or an employment contract.

How personal data is handled is explained in the Privacy notice. Accepting these terms is not a consent to anything about your child's data: consent for photos and health information is asked separately, in the parent app, and can be withdrawn.

Privacy notice

Your account

Accounts are for adults: you must be 18 or older. Children do not have accounts.

Your account is yours alone. Do not share your password or let someone else use your login; if another guardian or a colleague needs access, the nursery invites them.

Give your real name, and keep your email and phone up to date, so the nursery knows who it is talking to.

If you think someone else has used your account, or you lose a phone that is signed in, change your password and tell your nursery straight away.

Rules for what you post

Messages, photos, announcements, daily reports, observations and uploaded documents are seen by other people: families and nursery staff. Everything in the apps is about young children and is there to help care for them. You must not post, send or upload:

A complaint made honestly and politely is never a breach of these rules. You are free to disagree with your nursery; do it respectfully.

Photos of children

Photos and videos in the apps are shared with you for your family's own use. A photo may show other children as well as yours.

Do not post, forward or publish a photo or video that shows another family's child outside the apps, including on social media and in chat groups, unless that child's guardians agree.

Nursery staff share photos of a child only where the child's guardian has given the consent the app asks for.

If you see something that breaks these rules

In the parent app, choose Report on a message, an announcement, a daily report, a photo or an observation. You can also report the person who sent a message or an announcement.

Your report goes to your nursery's administrators, who review it and decide what to do. Nestora is told about every report. The person you report may be one of the administrators who reads it; if that worries you, write to us directly.

Nursery staff who see a problem tell their nursery's administrator, or write to us.

Nestora aims to look at every report within 24 hours, and follows up with the nursery where action is needed.

If a child is in danger, do not rely on the app: call the nursery, and the emergency services where needed.

What happens when the rules are broken

Your nursery can remove daily reports, photos and observations its staff posted, switch off a guardian's messaging, or remove a person's access.

Nestora can suspend or close an account, and can remove content, where these rules are seriously or repeatedly broken, where the law requires it, or to protect a child. Where we can, we tell the nursery first.

You cannot edit or delete a message after you send it, and your nursery's administrators can read every conversation between the nursery and its families.

What you post stays yours

What you write and upload stays yours. You give the nursery and Nestora permission to store it and to show it to the people it is meant for: the staff of your nursery who work with your child, and, for what the nursery posts, the families it is addressed to. We do not use it for anything else, and never for advertising.

Only upload what you have the right to share.

The service, as it is

Nestora is a new product and changes often. We work to keep it available and correct, but we do not promise that it will never be interrupted or be free of mistakes. What the nursery is entitled to is set out in its agreement with us.

The apps help a nursery and a family stay in touch. They do not replace the nursery's own duty of care, and they are not an emergency service: an alert or a message can arrive late, or not at all, if a phone is off or has no connection.

The apps are free for guardians and staff. To the extent the law allows, Nestora is not liable to you for indirect losses arising from using the apps. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Leaving, and closing your account

You can stop using the apps at any time. A guardian can ask for their account to be deleted from the Account screen in the parent app; nursery staff ask their nursery's administrator.

Changes to these terms

We update these terms as the service and the law change. Each version is numbered and dated at the top. When a change is material, the apps ask you to accept the new version before you continue.

Law and language

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction.

These terms are published in Arabic and English. If the two differ, the Arabic text prevails.
